THE VENICE GLASS WEEK
September 5th – 13th,  2020

STILL LIFE: WHEN NATURE SHINES IN MICROMOSAICS

THE VENICE GLASS WEEK is the international festival that the city of Venice dedicates to the art of glass. The fourth edition, #TheHeartOfGlass, will take place from 5th to 13th September 2020. With a programme of exhibitions, demonstrations, guided tours, online events and more, this year’s festival will place a special focus on the “making” of glass: the artistic and productive activity which has been deeply embedded in the Lagoon City’s DNA for over a thousand years, and for which Murano continues to be renowned and celebrated around the world.

The project, now at its fourth edition, is promoted by Comune di Venezia and organised by LE STANZE DEL VETRO, Fondazione MUVE, Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere e Arti and Consorzio Promovetro Murano.

The fourth edition of The Venice Glass Week represents both a new starting point and a symbol of continuity of the artistic and cultural life of Venice after the lock down caused by Covid-19.
We are very happy to be part of it again this year and we feel even more motivated to contribute with our new exhibition: “Still Life: When Nature Shines in Micro Mosaics”.
Flowers, birds, insects come to life, tile after tile, thanks to the creative genius and constant resarch of artisans, or rather artists from the past.
Venetian glass continues to live in enamel glass tesserae and murrine that compose masterful handcrafted small items dating back to 19th and 20th century.
We look forward to being your guide along this new exhibit itinerary!

The display will take place in our showroom, right at the entrance of the old Jewish quarter in Venice.
The entry is free.
